Meet Lauren Sonnenberg
Hi, I’m Lauren Sonnenberg. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), and Licensed Member Provider (LMP) of the Professional Wellness Alliance.
I began my work 20 yrs ago as a psychotherapist after graduating with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, in 2004. I‘ve been a GHK practitioner for over 15 years now and have been an EFT & Matrix Reimprinting (energy psychology therapies) practitioner for over 10 yrs.
I began my private practice in 2011 in Miami, and have since then transformed my practice into one where my services are provided 100% virtually via phone or video. Prior to beginning my private practice, and while it was getting established, I provided mental health counseling in numerous arenas: integrative health, military, addictions, corrections, and community mental health. Through all of that, my passion has always been to help people with the emotional aspects of chronic pain and illness, and that’s how my work with chronic migraines came to be.
Besides helping to bring people physical relief, I also really love to be able to see the fear lift from someone’s view of their physical well-being when they come to understand why they are actually experiencing their symptoms, and that something can actually be done to lessen the intensity, and, in many cases, provide resolution, so that a person can live a more enjoyable life.
