Intensive Therapy
The Intensive Packages are best suited for individuals that are experiencing an extremely high level of pain and intensity with their migraines, for those whose ability to function in daily life has been extremely lessened due to their migraines, and/or for those who may be dealing with additional physical ailments or mental health concerns.
The Intensive Packages are for those who need to make chronic migraine relief happen on the fastest timeline possible. Although it’s impossible to predict how quickly each client can reach resolution, the Intensive Packages allow for a dedicated and thorough approach by both therapist and client to ensure that time spent by the client in between sessions is structured for optimal results in the shortest amount of time.
Additionally, with the Intensive Packages, you get a 90 minute individual session each week, a weekly Progress-Check-In, On-Demand Text Support, an On-Demand Call per every 5 week package, and access to the GHk & EFT Group. Packages are available for 5 or 10 week durations. Each therapy session is 90 minutes in duration and delivered via phone or video.
Intensive Packages include the following:
- One individual 90 min. session/week for 5 or 10 weeks (depending upon the package length)
- Once weekly “Progress Check-Ins” via email or text to ensure homework and “Tracking Your Tracks” is headed in the right direction (scheduled to make sure you’re not going more than 4 days without a Check-In or a session)
- On-Demand Text Support
- One 15 minute On-Demand Call per every 5 week package (so, 2 per 10 week package)

2 months for the 5 session package
3 months for the 10 session package

Is Intensive Therapy Covered by Insurance?
Although LifeCore requires a prepayment of fees-for-service for all packages and sessions, 48 hours prior to service delivery (or in a shorter timeframe, for On-Demand Calls), clients with insurances that have Out-of-Network Behavioral/Mental Health coverage may be able to receive partial, and possibly even, full reimbursement for the various components of the package.
The best thing for you to do determine whether you would receive partial or full reimbursement for group and/or individual therapy under the umbrella of Behavioral/Mental Services with an Out-of-Network Provider, is to simply call up your insurance company and ask.
If they state that you’re eligible for reimbursement, weekly invoices for your care, delivered by Lauren Sonnenberg, LMHC, MCAP, LMP, will be made available to you upon request. The invoices contain the service and diagnostic codes you need to go forward in submitting the required paperwork that your insurance company needs. Please ask your insurance company to send you the required forms.
